About Us

Beauty Artistry Academy was founded to educate and empower adults to fulfill their passion for the beauty industry at a school that is diverse, welcoming, and inclusive for students and instructors by maintaining a best-in-class standard of excellence. We will accomplish this through integrity, innovation, and passion.

I have been blessed to be in this industry for over 36 years. I constantly think back to how I started in cosmetology, and it is reminder of the passion that I still have. After working for others, I opened my own salon in 2002. After a necessary surgery, I came face to face with one of the realities of the industry; your body will dictate how long you can stay behind the chair. We will not just teach you enough to pass the state board exams, we want to make sure that you are ready for your career with benefits such as a membership to a local workout facility and healthy lifestyle instruction to ensure professional longevity.

That experience opened a whole new opportunity for me. I started teaching in 2007. I earned my Ohio Department of Education teaching license from Bowling Green State University and have taught both high school students at a Career Technology School and adults at private schools in the Cincinnati area. I can’t tell you the number of people that I have spoken to about the challenges adults face either starting their career or switching careers to cosmetology, esthetician, and manicuring. It was time for me to use my expertise and experience to help you realize your dreams.

She explained everything in a way that we would all understand, and if we still couldn't understand she'd break it down even more. She was the kind of teacher that makes you WANT to come to class, and WANT to learn about the art of cosmetology! She is the best teacher I've ever had.
